Most of what passes for “health” right now is built on one quiet assumption:
I’ve watched that play out from inside our broken health system as a Physician Assistant.
For years I did everything “by the book”—pain management, then primary care in a rural clinic.
I ordered the labs.
Prescribed the meds.
Gave the standard lifestyle handouts.
People got more pills, more referrals, more follow-ups: exactly as I was programmed to give them.
But they didn’t get free.
The treatments were shallow.
They helped people cope a little, but they didn’t restore hope.
Many patients left more discouraged, more confused, and more convinced they were “broken.”
I tried to fix it with more information—nutrition, herbalism, psychology, “mind–body” approaches.
I even built an early program called Total Pain Control that looked at pain through a more holistic lens: body, mind, and spirit.
And before it launched, the Lord shut that door.
I didn’t understand why at the time.
Now I do.
God had to deal with something deeper in me first.
I was trying to help people heal while my own well was running dry.
Physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually—I was unraveling.
I lacked integrity in my own habits.
I chased whatever “felt right” instead of real wisdom.
I avoided hard things instead of practicing discipline.
And when progress was slow, I quit instead of persevering.
In other words, I was living the same story as the people I was trying to help.
That’s when the Lord started exposing the real problem.
Not just in my patients.
But in me, in our churches, and in our homes.
The Real Crisis Isn’t Just in Our Bodies
Look at what’s happening around us:
- In the U.S., roughly three out of four adults are overweight or obese.
- Rates of high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease are climbing.
- Heart attacks and strokes aren’t just “old people” problems anymore.
At the same time:
- Big Pharma thrives when we stay dependent on prescriptions.
- Big Food profits when we normalize sugar and fake food as daily staples.
- The wellness industry keeps people chasing trends, detoxes, and powders instead of real change.
And it’s not just physical.
Our children are being discipled by culture instead of Christ.
Violence against Christians is increasing.
Families are stretched thin, isolated, and worn down.
We’re told to “take care of ourselves,” but most of what’s sold to us as “self-care” is spiritual anesthesia.
The Bible says:
What I kept seeing in the clinic—and in my own life—is that most of us weren’t being guided by truth.
We were being guided by:
- Lies about our bodies (“You’re just broken; it’s genetic.”)
- Lies about change (“Nothing will work for you.”)
- Lies about what health is for (comfort and appearance, not stewardship and service).
When you build your health on lies, it doesn’t matter how many diets, gym memberships, or “health foods” you buy.
You might see short-term progress, but you never grow roots.
You just bounce from fad to fad until you burn out.
What God Showed Me About True Wellness
Through that season, God revealed what I now call the Roots of Wellness:
- Integrity — walking in truth, even when it costs you comfort.
- Wisdom — learning to do the right things, at the right times, for the right reasons.
- Discipline — consistently doing what’s right, especially when it’s hard.
- Perseverance — pressing forward when progress feels slow or when you feel like quitting.
When those roots grow deep, they bear fruit in your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual life.
I pictured it as a Tree of Wellness—roots in truth, branches in every area of life.
But even that wasn’t enough.
Because God made it clear: Dream Root Wellness couldn’t just be “a better wellness program.”
It had to be discipleship.
That’s the picture of wellness I believe we’re called to:
Not chasing comfort.
Not chasing numbers.
But planted by living water.
Steady when the world shakes.
Bearing fruit in every season.
And not doing it alone.
Why I Rebuilt Dream Root Wellness From the Ground Up
When I first launched my online wellness community, it looked good on paper.
The courses were solid.
The coaching model was thoughtful.
The branding was clean.
But in my own words, it was a “wishy-washy wellness community with no character.”
Jesus was mentioned in one corner of the curriculum and ignored in the rest.
I was trying to quietly appease people who might not want a Christ-centered approach.
It failed.
And I’m grateful it did.
Through prayer, conviction, and watching the cultural pressure mount against believers, God made it painfully clear: this isn’t about building a clever wellness brand.
This is about helping Christian families stand firm—body, mind, and spirit—in a time when the world wants us weak or silent.
That’s why the Dream Root Wellness Network was reborn as:
And that’s where this invitation comes in.
What the Dream Root Wellness Network Actually Is
This isn’t another content library you’ll never use.
It’s not a 30-day “challenge” that burns hot and fizzles out.
The Dream Root Wellness Network is a family-based, give-as-you-are-able membership community designed to help you:
- Grow stronger in body with simple, sustainable habits—sleep, eating, and movement that actually fit real life.
- Renew your mind with Scripture, growth-centered learning, and honest reflection—so you’re not discipled by culture by default.
- Steady your emotions through journaling, processing, and Christ-centered perspective.
- Deepen your walk with Christ through daily prayer, Bible study, and regular fellowship.
- Practice perseverance—truth-based self-talk, faith-rooted visualization, and wise preparation for hard days.
Here’s what that looks like practically inside the Network:
1. Membership Covers Your Entire Household
You don’t have to buy a separate “spot” for every family member.
One family-based membership covers your household so you can walk this road together.
2. The Dream Root Wellness Way – 12-Week Foundational Curriculum
Every family starts with a 12-week, biblically grounded wellness course that lays the foundation for everything else:
- How to see health as stewardship, not self-worship.
- How to use the “roots” of integrity, wisdom, discipline, and perseverance to actually change.
- How to build simple, repeatable habits around sleep, food, movement, mindset, and spiritual life.
This isn’t theory.
It’s a step-by-step way to start living out what you already know you should be doing.
3. Weekly Live Coaching Sessions (Group, AMA-Style)
Each week, we gather live for digital group coaching.
We talk through real questions, real obstacles, and real next steps.
It’s not hype.
It’s guidance and accountability, week after week.
4. Wellness Circles – Small Groups for Real Connection
You’ll have the opportunity to join a Wellness Circle: a small group of 10–12 members (often regional) for closer fellowship, support, and accountability.
This is where people pray for each other, check in on habits, and carry each other through setbacks.
5. A Christ-Centered Community Hub
Inside the Network you’ll find:
- A feed of posts, discussions, and encouragement.
- Space to share wins and struggles without pretending you have it all together.
- Brothers and sisters who will point you back to Christ—not trends—when you’re discouraged.
At the heart of it all?
Jesus Christ.
Because we believe true healing begins not when you find the perfect plan, but when you return to the perfect Person.
Our wellness work is a response to the Gospel, not a replacement for it.
Christ died for sinners, rose again, and offers forgiveness and new life to all who repent and trust in Him.
No meal plan, lab result, or body composition can add to that finished work.
What we do here is help you live as someone who’s already been set free.
“Give As You Are Able” – The Generosity Model
Here’s where this community looks very different from most programs.
After a season of prayer and wrestling, God made it clear that the Network needed to be built on the same kind of generosity we see in the early church:
So membership is give as you are able:
- Some families, in real hardship, give $0 for a time.
- Some give a modest amount as a sign of commitment.
- Others give more—covering their own spot and helping carry other families.
We’ve outlined tiers (Seed, Starter, Supporter, Sustainer, Covenant, Kingdom Builder, Legacy) not as pressure, but as a way to be honest about what it takes to sustain the mission and keep doors open for everyone.
There’s no guilt.
No arm-twisting.
Just this:
You give according to what the Lord has given you and how He leads you.
In return, you’re expected to give something just as important as money:
Your participation.
We’re not building a passive content library.
We’re building a working body.
Who This Is For (and Who It Isn’t)
The Dream Root Wellness Network is for you if:
- You’re tired of the deceptions of the modern health and wellness system and want to live differently.
- You want your family discipled by Scripture, not by culture.
- You believe true health must be rooted in Christ, not in trends.
- You’re ready to take real responsibility—not just collect more information.
It’s not for you if:
- You want quick fixes or overnight results.
- You’d rather keep trusting the broken system than change your habits.
- You’re chasing the next diet, gadget, or pill instead of seeking truth.
The simple truth is this: I can’t help everyone.
If improving your health is a “maybe someday,” this probably isn’t the place for you.
But if you sense the Lord nudging you—now—to strengthen your body, renew your mind, and deepen your roots in Him for the sake of the people who depend on you… and to the glory of God...
Then this community was built with you in mind.
Your Family Has a Seat at the Table
Jesus said:
That abundant life isn’t about chasing comfort.
It’s about being rooted in Him—strong enough to stand when the world shakes.
That’s the kind of wellness we’re pursuing inside the Dream Root Wellness Network:
- Bodies that are cared for, not worshiped.
- Minds that are renewed, not numbed.
- Hearts that are steady, not ruled by fear.
- Families that are planted, not scattered.
And we’d be honored to walk that road with you.
